Well, we’ve been working with Mark Lomas (aka Pud) from Christ Church with Canon Street (and the rest of the churches, we promise Pud, we’ll learn the new church title and start using it!) again, but this week we’re in Hollins Technology College.
Pretty much the same as Josh blogged about for last week in Norden really, only a REALLY early start! Up at 6:45 for me personally to get to Hollins for 7:30 so we could set up for the first lesson at 9.
It’s been a really good day and we’ve done many different things, using Pink’s “So What” again for our main cover as it’s something current and known, but we’ve done Robbie Williams “Let Me Entertain You”, ColdPlay’s “Clocks” as well as various of our own (Stay, First Commandment and You Touch My Dreams).
I’m not sure how the auditions have gone today, but Gill sat in with Pud so we’ll see if she might let you in on the inner sanctum that was the practice room for today.
We all felt a bit redundant during Josh’s drum section today though as he’s discovered, on the V-Drums, the jam section which means that where as sometimes you see bands with a drum machine for a drummer, Josh can now be a drummer with a band machine for the band! Thankfully, he’s only got the one riff so far, but we’re keeping our eye on him!
Anyway, check back for more blogs soon!
Bless Y’all
Andy 🙂
